I loved yesterday, a workshop for writers in Greater Vancouver. There's such a fine energy in a room full of creative people. And it's rare for a writer to encounter "her kind" because we're all usually home alone, writing. It feels good to spend time in the company of kindred spirits. Plus they made the most amazing potluck lunch ever.

I am grateful for the customer appreciation sale at the fabric store today. I was able to purchase the "perfect" match silk fabric and two pieces for light coats. Cobalt blue and White. I especially was happy to see the shoppers buying the fabrics for presents. Their delight in a good bargain was lovely to see, particularly the seniors buying quilting, baby and children's fabrics. The creative side of life - we need it in this crazy world.

Today, if we don't blow away first, a fellow from a farm animal rescue is coming to donate some time. He will trim a few miniature horses for me. Farriers in general don't like to trim mini's, too low to the ground. I keep thinking, since I am not using my steel milking stand for goat milking any longer, maybe I can convert it to a mini horse stand. Hmmm. So, I am grateful for the help of others, and I will be happy if we don't get the 70 mph winds to blow the sand an dust into the barn we will be working in........or maybe it will just snow ! Blue sky now, so who knows !
